Situated near mighty river Nila it is one of the best educational institution in Palakkad district. The KV established in 1986, it was inaugurated by His Excellency K R Narayanan, the then vice president of India. School is built in a traditional nalukettu style with an inner courtyard. School have been producing wonderful results in board exams from few yesteryears. School was selected as model Kendriya Vidayalaya in the year 2000-2001.

well
our school has not been so great .comparing with other kvs its nothing.
first of all lets take an example of science and social science exhibitions.how many of them has reached nationals or even got selection for nationals.
taking example of kvporttrust kochin , every year minimum 2 exhibits represt nationals.
in cca, how many of them has reached to greater heights.our children are happy with school prizes.they are not aiming for more.students are to be made to aspire for more.may be our teachers are just doing the job of teaching.they are not inspiring them.
and sports last year our football & volleyball teams were only sent.both teams didnt even qualify for the regionals.the cricket team which had 2 distirct players & an under 13 goa state player was not sent to play the sub regionals.It was a team which could challenge national teams.
so kv ottapalam has to improve alot.it has a long way to go.
i agree it has greats records in academics.
but there should be overall sucess.in all spheres kv ottapalm should shine.
I am neither a student nor an ex- student of KV Ottapalam. Also, all I know of Vishal is that he is a friend of Mahesh. But kudos to you both for the great work in the form of this site. A great opportunity for all others, students and teachers alike to share info.

bcoz each kv is different...
each one has its on plus and minus...
our kv is gud in academics..
....kv port trust is good in other activities....
as adarsh told
"in all spheres kv ottapalm should shine."
so the students of our school has to really work hard for achieving great heights in other activities at regional..and national levels...
congrats to sarat chandu and sarath govindaraj....they both got seat in nit calicut...

its really a good work by my 2 brothers and friends...there is a small correction i want to make in what adarsh told.. comparing to other schools our school is really great yaar..in what way we are lacking...we have been got goood academic achievements,sportsmens,scientists and many more like you and my friends..and iam really proud to be the student ,part and parcel of one of the leading instituitions of our country and an brother formore than 1600 students for the past 12 years...
i miss kvo n ma friends .....
the above commnts r mor than sufficient 2 get a good picture but none of them have mentioned the quality of teachers who have ste foot in this insti..jus take anitha madam 4 an ex.,nd usha maam,KD sir,ramachandran sir,geeta maam..n lodz more...theyve played one of the major roles in the academic success so far..HATS OFF FOR THEM...

i really miss ma schoo life..ma teachrs(espcly, jayaraman sir, rukmini mam,shahinshah mam,justus sir..and mny mre)..ma library..our vast playgrnd....really love u ma dr KVO

It feels really nice to be a part of kvotp - temple of learning, let the list of laurels be endless, would like to add on wat subash told, try n include details of teachers, they showed us the way, let us keep remembering them, coz unlike other schools, our teachers hardly remain in one KV for long time.. keep movin guys ..

First of all i would really like 2 appreciate both Mahesh n Vishal 4 creating such a wonderful Website.
Being an ex student of kvo and also of other sculs n also other kvs, i can proudly say that this one was the best.
and i would like 2 remind my juniors that u r njoying a real treat. u may not undrstand the true meaning of this until and unless u complete ur studies there.
one thing on which i agree with adarsh is that our kv has 2 improve, specially in activities xcluding academics.
n 4 that the students have 2 work. n from the look of it, i really think v have the potential, n v will surely acheive that.
but v can never consider our kvo 2 b inferior wen "comparing with other kvs".
As a matter of fact ours is one of the best.
And am sure am right.

its been a very difficult time to cope up with.. one of our classmates has left us....forever...
am sad and at the same time using this time to rewind back in time...
did we really get along well in our class ?
did we have all the fun and joy... ??
i don know.. ah....
now am a bit saddened by the fact that i almost never talked to her...
most of us dint...
yaaa... it happens..
i have almost never thought of her even for a minute in my life... till FEB 1..... but now... i think of it ...i think of her.. her mother and father... lets hope that god gives all the power to that mummy n daddy....

......I always love my school.. But, i'm really sorry to say that the new teacher's there are really harsh. I saying this on the basis of the bitter experiences that we had to experience on going for the Annual Day this year, which was on 25th April. One of them, was asking-"Why are you Ex-Students coming unnecessarily to the school".
They were seeing to Ex-student's as some sort of unwanted creatures. It was really bad of them being teacher's behaving in such irresponsible manner.
Anyways guys, its nice to have a blog for our school. And please keep posting some articles in the blog. All the best.. Never forget our school.
And for those who don't know me, I'm Saji, a 2006 pass-out from KVO.
I read some of the comments..and I missed this year's annual day as well (and most probably I will miss it for another 3 yrs :-0 )
I too came to know about such approach from some of the teachers, even I too felt bad about it. We feel extremely attached to an institution that has given us so much to remember. But then sometimes even the teachers may have a wrong approach, though we are sincere. As the time passes, it becomes difficult for us to keep in touch with each other, and school is the only link that keeps our lives connected. No bad feelings towards my school. I feel bad when such things happen in my school, but common there are better things happening there. We could only hope that those "teacher" understand us, what else could we do ?

der shud b stong encorgmnt...datz my opinionn ..... nd we d coopration betwen studens s amazin..

compliments to the blogspot team. am Captain Somu an aluminus of kvotp year 2000.the best days of my life were in the school because after the school i immediately joined the gruelling life at national defence academy. our batch can pride about the fact that two of us are officers in the army and three in the navy.

Hi guys il b a new face to dis skool but could get d past n present of kvo very soon .i would oly say 1 thing in which our skool lacks s sports ..cricket was intrdcd wen i was in 12th..n players did get selection to reginals bt teachers don support dem. .....d bst eg s dat it was not continued wen i was passed out......der was playrs of gud qlty bt spprt s not provided......wat else can dis players ask 4? M dinoop.......d recent pass out.....cric shld b encouraged........
hm...well ..what dinoop told is rt...this year all of a sudden they said..we r having badminton nxt week +++ grls were not allowed to participate...this being my last year..i cant hope for another chance...teachers need to xtend lot of support if we gotta get sumthing in sports...
